Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

CRITICAL NOTICE FOR BUYERS

The Ticketz is a technology facilitator only. We do not organize events, sell tickets directly, or control Organizer refund policies. All refunds are the sole responsibility of the Event Organizer. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that the Platform has no obligation to provide refunds and that your recourse for any refund request lies exclusively with the Organizer.

1. Platform Role & Liability Limitation

THE PLATFORM HAS NO LIABILITY FOR REFUNDS.

The Ticketz provides software that enables Organizers to sell tickets and Buyers to purchase them. We are not a party to any ticket sale. The contract for the purchase and sale of each ticket is exclusively between the Organizer and the Buyer.

In no event shall the Platform be liable to refund any ticket price, service fee, or any other amount paid by a Buyer, regardless of whether:

  • the Event is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled;
  • the Event does not match the description provided by the Organizer;
  • the Buyer is unable to attend the Event;
  • the Organizer fails to honor a refund request;
  • the Organizer becomes insolvent, bankrupt, or ceases operations.

Buyers assume all risk that an Event may not occur as planned and that the Organizer may not provide a refund.

2. Organizer Refund Policies

Each Organizer sets their own refund, cancellation, and exchange policies. These policies should be communicated clearly on the event page or ticket purchase flow. The Platform does not enforce or verify Organizer refund policies.

Organizers are solely responsible for:

  • Establishing and communicating their refund policy before ticket sales begin;
  • Processing refunds in accordance with their stated policy;
  • Handling disputes with Buyers regarding refunds;
  • Complying with all applicable consumer protection laws regarding refunds.

The Platform recommends that Organizers include a clear refund policy on their event page. In the absence of a stated policy, Buyers should assume a "no refunds" policy.

3. Event Cancellations by the Organizer

If an Organizer cancels an Event, the Organizer is solely responsible for:

  • Notifying all ticket holders of the cancellation;
  • Providing refunds or alternative arrangements (e.g., rescheduled date, credit) according to their stated policy;
  • Covering any payment processing fees or chargeback costs associated with refunds.

The Platform is not responsible for notifying Buyers of cancellations, processing refunds, or compensating Buyers for cancelled Events.

4. Event Postponements & Material Changes

If an Event is postponed, rescheduled, or materially changed (e.g., venue change, significant lineup change), the Organizer is solely responsible for:

  • Communicating the change to all ticket holders;
  • Offering refunds to Buyers who cannot attend the rescheduled or changed Event, if required by their stated policy or applicable law;
  • Managing any resulting disputes or chargebacks.

The Platform does not guarantee that a postponed or rescheduled Event will take place. Buyers assume the risk that a rescheduled Event may also be cancelled.

5. Platform Service Fees

The Platform charges service fees on ticket transactions. These fees compensate us for providing the technology, payment processing infrastructure, and support services.

PLATFORM SERVICE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

This includes, without limitation, situations where an Event is cancelled, a Buyer requests a refund, a ticket is transferred, or a chargeback is initiated. We have earned and retained the service fee by providing the Platform technology, regardless of whether the underlying Event occurs.

6. Force Majeure

Neither the Platform nor the Organizer shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under these Terms or any ticket contract due to causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, or severe weather;
  • Epidemics, pandemics, or public health emergencies;
  • War, terrorism, riots, or civil unrest;
  • Government orders, lockdowns, or travel restrictions;
  • Strikes, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions;
  • Power failures, internet outages, or cybersecurity incidents.

In the event of force majeure, the Organizer may cancel or postpone the Event without liability to Buyers, subject to the Organizer's stated refund policy and applicable law. The Platform has no obligation to issue refunds in such circumstances.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If a Buyer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider:

  • The Organizer bears full responsibility for responding to and defending against the dispute;
  • The Platform may provide transaction data to the payment processor as required;
  • If the chargeback is successful, the Platform may recover the disputed amount, plus any chargeback fees or penalties, from the Organizer's account or pending payouts;
  • The Platform is not liable for the outcome of any chargeback or dispute.

Excessive chargebacks may result in account suspension or termination for the Organizer.

8. Fraudulent Transactions

If a ticket purchase is determined to be fraudulent (e.g., stolen payment method), the Platform reserves the right to cancel the ticket and reverse the transaction without compensation to the fraudulent party. The Organizer will not receive payout for fraudulent transactions.

9. Ticket Transfers & Resales

Tickets may be transferable at the Organizer's discretion. The Platform does not guarantee the validity of tickets transferred or resold outside the Platform. Buyers purchasing tickets from unauthorized resellers assume all risk of invalid or counterfeit tickets. The Platform has no obligation to refund or replace such tickets.

10. No Insurance or Guarantee

The Platform does not offer ticket insurance, buyer protection, or any guarantee that Events will occur as advertised. We do not verify Organizer identities, event legitimacy, or financial stability. Buyers and Organizers transact at their own risk.

11. Contact for Refund Requests

For Buyers: All refund requests must be directed to the Event Organizer. You can find Organizer contact information on the event page or in your ticket confirmation email.

For Organizers: If you have questions about processing refunds through the Platform's payment system, contact us at support@ticketz.app.
